Convention in Miami

Will any of you lovely Thetas be at convention this year? This will be my first time to attend, as I will be representing our alumnae chapter. I am looking forward to meeting so many other Thetas!

Have any of you been to a prior convention? Anything that I should know before hand?

I'll be there, too (I think this will be my 7th?). Which alumnae chapter will you be representing? Thanks for your service!

My best advice: catch up on sleep before you get there.

You'll get info on what to bring/wear when you register. Come ready to share ideas, learn a lot, meet a bunch of great ladies of all ages. If I think of anything else, I'll be sure to post.

Be sure to introduce yourself, Blondie and any other GCers who go - I'll be serving as the Nominating Committee co-chair. See you in June!

I'll be there! This will be my first convention and I could not be more excited. I'm on the Fraternity Finance Committee.

I'm thinking I might sing in the convention choir. How cool would that be??

This will be my first convention!!!! Though I am alum, some of my sisters are still active and they are coming down too!!! So it will be fun!!! It was recommended me that I sing in the Convention Choir, how does one go about doing this?

Thetagirl,

I think there's a check-box on the registration form that indicates you'd be interested in singing with the choir. Only non-delegates can be in the choir. I don't sing well, so I've never done it, but I sure enjoy listening to them!

Oh man, I really want to go to convention! I won't be done with classes until June 20th though. I was thinking about going Friday afternoon/evening until Sunday or Monday, making a mini vacation of it. I doubt I'd be able to participate in choir though... would it be worth it?

I love convention time!

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will convene in Orlando in July! I am too excited because this is my first Delta convention!

Best wishes to you for your first convention and to all the Deltas for a fabulous, productive, and fun time! We Thetas were in Orlando six years ago-- I think I'm still recovering.

I just found out I won't be able to go because of work and finances! I am sad, but I know there are many other conventions in the future!
