Question Tinted Moisturizers

Have any of you ladies used tinted moisturizers before? Well this is my first time using one and I bought the Nivea kind and I was wondering if you had to wash it off like makeup when you go to bed? It doesn't say whether you should or not on the bottle so I wasn't sure. Any replies would be great

moisturizers are supposed to be absorbed by the skin in order for it to well, moisturize it. It's not a cover up like makeup that u wash off at the end of the day coz dirt would mix w/ the makeup and make pores clog--eep! so (all those who work in makeup counters, forgive me if im wrong!)ya dont have to wash it off. in fact, dont a lot of moisturizers have to be put on at night, so it works while u sleep?

personally i use Estee Lauder's Spotlight Skin Tone perfector (what a mouthful). It is also tinted and gives u a nice glow and on the plus side it evens out your skin tone by fading away sunspots, discolorations, scars or whatever. and your skin feels so nice, soft and smooth after u apply it

Hey! I personally don't like tinted moisturizers b/c they're never yellow-toned enough for me...all too pink!

Anwyay, I think it is best to wash it off, unless you want to deal with clogged pores and oil seeping on your skin while you're busy sleeping!! I know that it IS a lotion, but it also has color in it...and usually, any cosmetic, when left on your skin long enough, can do some "damage" to it (zits, clogged pores). Plus, do you really want all those ingredients sitting on your skin while your sleeping?

I'm not totally sure about all of this...but I do know that it is safer than foundation...but it's better to be safe rather than sorry right??

Oh newbie i guess u have a point. tinted moisturizers might be different from regular moisturizers (regular white cream ones that u leave on!)...coz i've never used tinted before (but the estee lauder one i use is really a leave on for night and day) and i guess the color factor of it makes it different and should be washed off!
