use the reasons why you joined a local.
Im in a local. I love this one specifically because, i am a co founder, my dues are low, i get to meet all of my new sisters first hand since i am still active. an appeal of my group is that we are small, which is good for the woman out there who wants to make a new friend, but gets frightend meeting 50 or 60 people, all at rush house. Another reason why going local is good is because you don't have to abide by many national rules that some other groups have to- but this is only specific to my personal expereince. And some of these things can apply to some national groups as well.
I think the best bet is to just think about what you love most about your group.
