Happy Birthday, Omega Psi Phi!!!!
On Friday evening, November 17, 1911, three students of the class of 1913 met in the office of Associate Professor Ernest E. Just and founded the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the first national historically African American college fraternity founded on an historically Black College campus. The Founders were the following:
The Rt. Rev. Edgar A. Love, Bishop of the United Methodist Church
Dr. Oscar J. Copper, a physician who practiced in Philadelphia for 50 years
Professor Frank Coleman, Chair of the Department of Physics at Howard Univ. for many years
Dr. Ernest E. Just, a world renowned biologist and embryologist
The bonds that bound the four together were religion, culture and tradition. The incomparable legacy of friendship, service and that special Que manhood and enthusiasm are known the world over. All over the world Omega men will gather to wish each other Happy Birthday, singour hymmn 'Omega Dear', pray, toast, drink "Omega Oil, party, set out a hop and have a good time! "Calling all Que to the floor..."
