Happy Founder's Day Sorors - What did you do?
I didn't make it to the celebration in Atlanta but my sorors and I, from the Alpha Eta Sigma chapter (Philadelphia Alumnae), hosted our annual Oldies Party on Saturday evening 11/10 and on Sunday 11/11 we worshipped together at the Grace Baptist Church in Germantown Philadelphia. It was a wonderful service and a beautiful sight to behold. There were about 50 of us all beautifully dressed in royal blue and gold (most of us in royal blue suits) and we sat together in pews reserved for us in the front. Some of our members regularly attend the church so they were happy to put us in the program and acknowledge our presence. Our Basileus also presented the church with a check for the community center they are going to build. After that, we headed to the "Point of Destination" cafe for our annual Founder's Day luncheon and program. It was a great day!

I attended the National Foudners Day observance where the three chapters served as hostesses. We worked hard to make the weekend a beautiful occasion. The luncheon was a very nice event where three of our past grand basilei were present: Soror Evelyn H. Hood, Soror Corrine Green, and Soror Katie Kinnard White. The men of Omega Psi Phi were quite wonderful as well, but I loved seeing my sorors. It was like a mini-Boule, and it makes me look forward to Boule '08 in Detroit!!!(Alas...I left my camera at home. Grrr.... But I'm gonna check around to see if there are photos from other sorors they don't mind sharing. There were enough cameras flashing.)
My chapter, Eta Sigma, will hold our annual Founders Day Luncheon on Saturday, November 17, and we will worship at Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church the following morning. In the meantime, I am text messaging all the sorors in my cell phone, and I'll visit the Debutante Ball rehearsals so the debutantes can see how much pride young and seasoned sorors alike have in our great sorority.

Ditto. The Oldies Party was so much fun as alway. On Sunday, sorors looked beautiful in that royal blue. We had a very lovely time and food at the Point of Destination Cafe was sooooo good!!!

Hello Sorors and Happy Founders Day!
I know about the Oldies Party my chapter soror attended. Her home town is Philly. she had a wonderful time.
We decorated the local library display.
Today, my chapter along with the NYC chapter (Kappa Sigma) went to the today show on NBC to represent and celebrate Founders Day. Al Roker actually shouted us out and we had our 15 min (maybe less) of fame. It was great.

AWWWW! I will shout you out to the sorors. We already had our chapter meeting so we would have everything squared away before a very busy November. Therefore, Eta Sigma will know that you miss us. (((((((SIGMA HUGS)))))))

I spent Founders' Day with some of the Sorhors of Maryland worshipping at a church in Bethesday, Maryland. It was a wonderful service and great to do the redidication ceremony with them.

The NYC-area chapters hosted The Legacy, our annual Founders' Day party. it was a great party! good turnout, great times! (gotta find some pics for yall... they were on alltheparties.com but no more)
on actual founders day, held an informational. we made it extra special. sort of like a birthday party-themed informational.
