Question about transferring

Are you still a Tri-Delt if you don't go into alumna status and transfer to another school w/o a Greek system? A woman I know said she "was" a Tri-Delt and seemed to think she wasn't anymore because of this. I thought that she'd still be considered a Tri-Delt. If this cannot be discussed here please let me know and I'll erase the post. If not thanks in advance for any help!

Why doesn't she just write to her old chapter and ask them to grant her alumna status since there isn't a chapter she can join at her new school? It's probably basically just a paperwork thing, but it needs to be done.

If she was initiated and she hasn't been "kicked out", she will always be a Delta Delta Delta, she just has to change her status with her HQ, I'm guessing.

Oops, sorry about the thread crash, I just found the "new posts" button at the top of the page as a shortcut to see what the new postings are and didn't realize this was specifically in the Tri-Delt forum... I'll butt out now.

That's fine- thanks for the advice. It is appreciated. My friend graduated a while ago- like seven years ago so she was unsure.
