What would you do?
Okay, so this might sound kinda catty of me, but I'm kinda frustrated. There was a girl that was an Eta Kappa founding sister with me. After a year in Delta Gamma, she formally quit. She signed all the paper work and everything. Now her facebook page has Delta Gamma all over it. She even added one of the little Greek Family trees and tried to put me in it!!! I can't take myself off of it. She wasn't even in my family when she was a DG. She has pictures in her gallery of her and all of her DG sisters. She presents it like she is still a very active part of the Fraternity. She's joined facebook groups like "Delta Gamma sisters supporting our VT chapter" and stuff like that.
I finally got the guts up to post a message on her facebook page asking her to take me off of her greek family tree...and telling her that I thought she had quit DG.
Should I (could I) do anything more? I know it should be flattering, but it's just really annoying...haha. Any ideas or suggestions?

I am not sure what to do, but I would suggest you go to the current ATC at your chapter and bring this to her attention. She will then be able to take it to the RCS and further up if necessary.
I would love to find out if you get any resolution on this, because I see this being a potential problem for any chapter with the prevalence of social networking tools like facebook, myspace and so on.

OK. OK, I'll admit. It's me. Jeez.
(Kidding)
I guess I cannot even imagine trying to be in a sorority that I knew I wasn't really a part of. That would be like me wearing ZTA letters hoping that noone figured out what I really was. I would say something to the girl herself, and if she doesn't do anything, then take it on up. But I know others have a different philosophy, so it's whatever way you're more comfortable with.

She is also using the Delta Gamma "brand" with no authority to do so.

I would tell your ATC and let her take it from there.

We are both 4 years out of school...so going to talk to a chapter officer or ATC or adviser is kinda difficult. Thanks for all of the advise though. At this point, since she has blocked me, there isn't much I can do, I suppose.

Dear White Daisy,
Please excuse me for posting in your thread. I wanted to thank you for the great photos of our new Tri-Delta members at the NCState colony. We are excited about being part of the Greek family there.

I just checked, and I can't see her groups but her activities say "Delta Gamma"
My feeling is that, even though you're mad about it, she's not exactly lying since that was an activity of hers in college.
I know how you feel, though... we had girls who were still wearing our t-shirts around afer they depledged, and I saw a bunch of girls from Clemson one time with DG coolers, ran up to them (yes, I do random things like that, ask Lauren!) and found out they had signed as well.
Even though it makes you mad and I don't blame you, I don't think there's much you can do. :-(
