BID DAY!!
I just had a couple of questions. On bid day I know that most sororities plan a sisterhood event to give the new girls a chance to talk to their future sisters...but what do you do afterwards?
My sorority is a local sorority but we rush with the national sororities and follow NPC rules. I have read the "green book" and it says that men and alcohol are not allowed with the new girls until 24 hours after the rush period ends...which is 5:00pm on Saturday. I was just wondering how many other sororities go by this rule because I have friends at other colleges in different sororites that say usually take their new girls out to a party on bid day, usually at a fraternity house...which is what we used to do after a sisterhood event.
We were told that if the girls are caught out with us at a party that their bid will be revoked and they will not be able to rush for a year. Does everyone follow this rule?
Please give me your comments, questions, gripes, whatever. Thanks!
