Why men don't trust women . . .

Here are the highlights of the thread for Those-That-Don't-Like-To-Read:

1. The Girl cheated on her BF all Summer.

2. The Girl got Pregnant and is not sure who's it is.

3. The Girl deceptively trapped her BF into marrying her without telling him the child might not be his.

4. All the players in this Jerry Springer type Drama are 20-21 year old upper middle class college people.

There is this boy I know that had a crush on a girl since like 3 rd grade.

For the last two years she has been dating this guy in their social circle.

This summer he slept with her at one of his parties. And continued to sleep with her all through the rest of the summer. Some of his friends knew, but no one was telling the boyfriend.

Guy code you know?

She walks into his work one day in tears with a little stick that has turned blue in her hands . . .

First words out of his mouth: "its not mine!" (classic) Second words: "Test it again"

Well she tests again and voila, still pregnant.

Of course he starts downplaying the amount of times they slept together etc . .

But we all know the Universe has a Perverse sense of humour and likes to send out the Big Fuck-You-Very-Much Every now and again lol!

So what doe she decide to do? She tells her parents and they are just thilled!

No sarcasm. Why are they thrilled, you as rational GC'ers rightly ask? Well they are old fashioned and kind of believe that a girl goes to college to get an MRS Degree anyway or at least to prepare them to get married.

And . . . her BF is a Comp. Sci. Major at an ivy-league . . . and both her family and his have money anyway . . .

And most importantly: She decided not to tell her parents or her BF about her summer long Affair . . . So the BF is going to marry her because its the Right Thing to Do . . .

WOW, is there no end to deception?

You got admit it sucks to be the BF doesn't it?

She did all these things before he took her to Greece for a 3 week vacation. Which she was going to anyway even if she hadn't gotten pregnant.

So what do you guys think?

Also, do you think some of their friends should tell the Finacee soon to be husband the truth?

Damn...and that's all I have to say about that one!

Honestly, I don't think I would say anything unless you KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that he would leave her and not turn back. If it is a possibility that he might say "but I love her anyway", don't even say anything, because then you come out looking like the bad guy!

James, that is messed up! I really have no idea what to make of this mess. What does guy #2 have to say about this? Is he the "it's not mine!" guy?

BTW, pregnancy is the result of one sexual experience. It doesn't matter how many or few times someone has done it. It's a matter of timing.

I think that the girl should be honest with both of the potential fathers. I doubt that it will happen, though.

I can see why men don't trust women particularly this woman. No one seems to have behaved too well in your story. Even the BF leaves something to be desired. "So Mr. Ivy League, why are you getting marrried?" "My Girlfriend's pregnant and it is the right thing to do." I feel bad for him.

This situation is a recipe for disaster or an appearence on Jerry Springer.

The BF should be told afterall, if it ends up -not- being his it could save him in $$$ and more heartbreak down the road. (don't flame me for the next comment..) Also, a cheater will always be a cheater..she's probably already back to scroggin' someother guy.

This is when I fully understand why some men/women beat the crap out of their partners...

Nuhh uhh. . . Jerry is low class. Since they are upper class, they are more likely to be on Maury. See Maury has the capability of doing a paternity test. Maury has about 30% of his shows dedicated to paternity testing.

AGREED!! She will cheat again. And her fiancee deserves to know, financially, mentally, and emotionally. Besides what if the child has a health condition that the REAL FATHER is needed for.

That is the part that is really evil . . once the BF marries her and assumes responsibility, the law states that he assumes responsibility for that child for the rest of both their lives.

Also, the Cheating Boy doesn't want to know the truth becoems he doesn't want to risk finacial responsibility.

ugh, that grosses me out. how many maury povich shows air women getting paternity tests?? there was one where a woman came on the show three times and had a total of 10 men tested and still couldnt find the father of her child. stuff like that makes women look so tacky. it doesnt surprise me that men dont trust women.

on the flip side, one reason that women dont trust men...it isnt always easy for most men to keep IT in their pants

They get a couple of taps in. See Maury has his folks run to the back of the stage cRYING.

Oh and Smiley, there are gangs of women getting like upwards of 5 men tested, each one she is like 3000% positive that HE is the dad. Such a sad state of affairs especially with the men calling the mama a whore -- padna what do you think YOU are? The men call the women UGLY -- padna you look like you were beat down with the ugly stick.

On the one hand, the child deserves a stable family with two loving parents. On the other hand, the "other man" shouldn't be allowed to get off scot-free, nor should the cheating girl, for that matter.

In terms of cheating, one slip is one thing. A summer-long affair is quite another. She will cheat again and hubby will be sorry.
