LOL at "the shirt is her own" caption.
Still, Wino reppin' letters isn't really something to be proud of.

CT4,
she's wearing a screen-print shirt with the letters of the Sororities and pictures of famous members. Coretta Scott King, Shirley Chisolm, etc. It says "Women of Greatness."
the best way i can describe it is think patti labelle concert t-shirts. or those old "blacker the college" shirts. its like that.

I especially like the "pickin the teeth" shot in the collage.

Saw that on FGS...
I'm not that bothered by it. The concept of the shirt is nice, and it's not like she's wearing only 1 or 2 orgs' letters. I may be biased because I'm a huge fan, though.
The women on the shirt are all amazing role models... and I like that AW is giving them some exposure to people who might be unaware.
And she's holding a JB album... the girl knows history.

I'm with you. I'm a HUGE fan and so not offended by the shirt.
ETA: I am wondering though, does she really know what this all signifies, or is it just a picture? I wouldn't be surprised if she really did know though (family members are jazz musicians, growing up listening to hip-hop, etc.)

She's British and went to performing arts-type schools. I doubt she really understands the significance of the letters.
I am a huge fan too.

Yeah the letters are what I question whether or not she knows too.
ETA: Then again, it's not like we don't exist there. DUH @ me.

I'm glad this came up because I thought I was losing it or something. Some girl came in a store I was in a couple months ago with the same T-shirt on and got the feeling that she wasn't greek. I was going to ask her where she got it from but she was on her cell phone the whole time she was in the store, even at the register when she went to pay for her items (I hate that). Anyway I looked at the back of the shirt and there is a lot of WRONG information on it regarding who is in what organization. I can't remember though exactly who was on it. I do remember that Oprah was on it, I think as a Delta.
