Maggie Ireland, Miss Colorado and a KD
Just read this in the newest Connection. She's be competing for the Miss America title on January 28th.

She's very pretty and I think she could do really well. Moreover, her brother was one of the kids that was shot at Columbine, so I'm sure she's extremely strong in character having to have dealt with that.

Alriiiiight! I knew there must be a KD in this years bunch of women (I'm a pageant fan/participant for those of you who didn't know ) I must say I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything that I've seen and heard about this young woman she seems very poised, charming and down to earth...not to mention beautiful! I'll be rooting for her come January, I hope she does well

Excellent! She sounds like she has a great chance at this pageant. I would LOVE to see another KD win this title! :-D Good luck to her, and AOT.

Calling all sisters!
Please go to http://tlc.discovery.com/tv/miss-ame...ntestants.html and cast your vote for Miss Colorado as America's Choice and she'll become a finalist automatically. You can vote once a day, so let's get to it!

Maggie will be competing in preliminary swimsuit and evening gown tonight, let's keep her in our thoughts; her scores tonight will determine whether or not she will get to compete in the finals on Saturday night
I for one know I'd love to have another KD Miss America!

I'm so into the fact that a KD's competing for the title, but I hate that she's never a standout (positively or negatively) on the show. I wish she got more airtime.

Meh, I know it sucks not to see her but I also know that a lot of the girls were told to try and stay off the camera because you never know how people will edit what you say/how you'll come off. *cough misstennesseecough*
I would much rather her stay off radar in regards to the show than say something and have it come back to really negatively effect her.

I couldn't agree more, but I think they way they were "changing up" Miss America this year, shining on the show would've helped. I mean, she was on Access Hollywood or something and they told her story and was great... oh well.
I LOVED Michigan and am glad she won! She was too cute!

Oh meeee too, Kirsten was one of my favorites from the beginning. When I saw the pictures from her state crowning in that gown (she wore the same one to win Miss Michigan that she did for Miss America) I said to someone "If she wears that gown and brings it in all other phases she will win." Lo and behold! I love it when I pick 'em
She's going to be a great, fresh beautiful representative for Miss America this year!
