Good Book to help change your way of finding New Members
There is a book called "good guys" and it offers a new and really great way of "rushing" new members, I suggest everyone check it out because it is full of great ideas.

Hijack... I like Pikes because my brother is one but I recommend that you change the color in your bottom line signature because someone can't read without their nose to the monitor.

well the pike is pretty cute hahah jk, the book is great it introduces a kind of rush where rush week isnt that important. Instead each brother finds one person who they would like to rush and in groups of like four or five, the brothers and their rush go to like sporting events, dinner, movies, and its a more personalized rush, and one where you get to know the PNM a lot easier than in just one week.

Sounds like it. It also sounds like a really good idea. That's pretty much how I was rushed (COB here).

Well thats just the basic idea of the book, but it goes into great detail about how to efffectively COB, and I know my school as Im sure there are others where they base everything on Rush week, so this book really introduced new ideas to my campus. Yes in a way it teaches COB, but it also goes into much greater detail about an amazing rush process, I suggest a lot of people pick up the book and read it

The book is by Matthew Mattson and Joshua Orendi. Our IFC paid for them (their company is called Phired Up) to come and give a recruitment seminar on our campus to all the fraternities. Matt was the one who did the seminar and it was really informative and has given us a lot of tips and new strategies on recruitment.
Here's a link to the book on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw...0&Go.y=0&Go=Go

Recruitment Book for Women
There's actually a version for women now, too! It's called I HEART Recruitment and is also by Phired Up Productions. I was asked to be one of the reviewers, and it's great! Very conversational and easy-to-read, and packed with great ideas. Check it out on the Phired Up Productions Website!
