Transformers: The Movie
Easily the best movie of the summer.
Good action, easy to follow story, some of the best CGI in a good bit..well worth the wait....
Hugo Weaving voicing Megatron was cool....
Anthony Anderson kinda got wasted for the role he had in this movie (it was a somewhat useless role) other than that I can't think of any other reason why one wouldn't enjoy this movie.

I completely agree.
The visuals were amazing.
Shia Lebouf was a great choice for the character.
Bumblebee's transformation, no pun intended.
Seeing Optimus Prime on screen was just amazing.
Nice way to leave it open for the upcoming sequel.

Saw it yesterday with the family. (We had rain for the 4th) Good movie, I plan to catch it one more time on the big screen.

I really enjoyed the movie. Huge transformers fan (I have two brothers). It's funny how you get excited to see Optimus Prime show up. LOL.
The visual effects were beyond AMAZING!!!!!!
I predict a couple of academy award nominations (and possibly a win or two) for visual effects.

I will admit I got a little choked up when I saw Optimus Prime on the screen.
I couldn't even be mad at the obvious product placement, lol.
I bout fell over when I saw "To punish and enslave" on the police car, lol.
I REALLY want to see that movie again..

This is one of those movies that:
1. need to be seen in the theater.
2. will need to watch a couple of times to catch the little details.
We loved the movie. I even called my mom and told her that my parents NEED to see it. I was not a Transformers fan growing up, but I loved watching the movie. WOW!

I don't remember some of those decepticons. Like the police car? Was that from one of the later generations?

I saw it tonight. Saw the first half of the movie twice thanks to some bad ass kid that decided to pull the fire alarm in the middle of the movie. I loved Bumblebee!!!

While I just saw and enjoyed the movie, the whole idea of the bad cop/car seemed to be uh..."lifted" from Terminator 2, if you know what I mean.
In other news, I thought the "to punish and enslave" was hilarious. I should tell my personal trainer that that should be his motto...LOL.

I will admit to being a fangirl of Transformers
BEST MOVIE EVER FOR A FANGIRL/BOY
I was fortunate enough to be in a row with other fangirls/boys like me.
I loved the "To punish and enslave"
for the fans of the cartoon/comic: did you notice in beginning with the VW Bug bit? Damn Volkwagon!
I will see this again...

Here is a question...
Altho this is based on a line of toys...marvel also had a comic running....so....technically...does this also count as a comic movie? (think of other comics have toys that coincide with them also)
IMO....I would say that this counts and is the best comic movie done since Batman Begins

Just saw the movie. My husband was waaaay amused, like a little boy getting a new transformer toy.
I say Megatron did not die when thrown in the water.
And isn't this a new genre for director Micheal Bay? He normally does Jerry Bruckheimer films and "Bad Boys".

That was an AWESOME movie... definitely one of the best I've seen in a long time. ....can't wait for the sequel...hopefully it won't suck as bad as most sequels. (you know he didn't die in the trench...they're making too much money off of it for him to die )
