Fraternity Rankings
30 years ago a man named Wilson Heller published a newsletter that gave the scoop on NPC and NIC groups, including rankings of chapters at various campuses. It was rather a scandal sheet that national officers knew about but chose to disregard, at least publicly, especially when their groups weren't favorably reported upon.
Even way back then (I was PanHel pres. at University of Missouri) I thought that some enterprising number cruncher could devise a survey to rank ALL chapters of ALL GLO's -- by size, by percent of quota/total achieved, by initiation rate, by graduation rate, by initiate/new member GPA, etc., etc. In addition to this quantitative data the survey could include subjective commentary as well.
It would be interesting to find out who scores highest. However, I think we'd learn that most groups are quite close in the number of chapters that are strong, weak, and in the middle.
With today's computer technology surely someone could figure out how to do this!
