Question Chelsea Clinton

Does anyone know whether or not she's a member of a GLO and if so, which one? She attends Stanford, as most know. Therefore she's either a DG, Tri-Delt, Kappa, PiPhi, Chi-O, or Theta.

I don't think that she is, for some reason I remember hearing about her being in a Christian organization (not that she couldn't do both, but that's all I've heard mentioned).

How old are George W's daughters? They're in college aren't they? Since Dad and Grandpa are both DKE's, I think they'd probably go Greek.

Thanks for the information 33girl. I think George W's daughter's are 18. I imagine they will go, or have gone greek. I would be interested to know if they have.

One of Bush's daughters is at Yale and one at Texas but I've heard nothing about either one going Greek or their mom being Greek at SMU. Pi Phi is very strong in Texas and it seems like I would've heard if they were Pi Phis.

I bet the one at UT will be Greek. And I wondered about Laura Bush also, since SMU is heavily Greek and would have been also when she was there. Does Yale have sororities?

Yale does have some sororities--they added theirs about the same time Princeton did. I don't think the administration loves the idea but because of the Constitution's guarantee of the right to assemble, colleges have a rather difficult time of actually forbidding Greeks--about all they can do is refuse to help fund them. At first, even Texas A&M tried to keep them away but as more and more women came, it was impossible to!

A friend of mine was in the Zeta house at UT the same time that Lynda Bird Johnson was (and her dad was still President) and you should hear her stories about the grief they had from the Secret Service men who had to live there!

I know we're speaking about sororities at Yale, but my fraternity has a chapter there. I dont think Chelsea is in a sorority. I could be wrong but shes probably in a christian organization, service organization maybe.

Margaret Truman is a Pi Phi of our D.C. Alpha chapter! I've heard older alums sing a song about it too.

I looked just because I was curious - they have AEPhi, KKG, Theta and Pi Phi.

Don't ask me why I thought of this, but what sorority was Margaret Truman in? I knew and now I can't remember.

It is Jenna at the University of Texas, and Barbara at Yale. And, although I haven't heard what Jenna pledged, Laura Bush was definitely a Theta.

Question

If you had the President's daughter coming through rush at your school, would you really want to pledge her? Before Chelsea came along, I probably would have said "Yes! In a heartbeat!"

But she was hardly ever actually at school! She was always either campaigning or on some trip w/ her mom. You can't be a good member if your never there! Plus, you'd have to excuse her for all those worthy trips. But then it looks like your playing favorites! Not to even mention the hassle of the secret service.

I just think having the first daughter as a member is not worth the hassle. What do you all think?

SoCalGirl...I agree, it would be a little strange. Especially during formal chapter.

BTW, which GLO do you belong to? I think I know everyone's except yours and 33girl. I'm just curious.

Yeah, but imagine the PR your chapter would get!! Oh, you can't beat free PR! And besides, she's the First Daughter! I think I'd take her in a heartbeat, and deal with all the other crap as it came up!
