Dexter on CBS
anyone else excited for this. I can now get a bunch of my friends just as hooked on it as me, now that they dont need to have showtime to see it.

Oooohhhh, I will be checking it out. The show looks really interesting and I wanted to watch it, but I don't have cable.

I just started watching season 1 through my netflix instant stream.
I am REALLY wondering just HOW they will maintain the full experience of the show while making it fit for network tv. I will be watching it, because I know my husband wants to watch it. I am currently watching it late at night after our 3 year-old and my husband have gone to bed.
I don't think it will be as funny or as satisfying as the original. You know, kinda like Sex and the City is when edited for network tv.

I can understand the editing concerns, but i think i read that they only cut about 6 mins total from the episodes, (I feel like they cut 15 solid mins from sex and the city), and according to Julie Benz:

They aren't going to be doing that tacky dubbing or bleeping, seems they recorded non profanity laced versions during other filming takes.

Anyone been keeping up with the cbs version? I think it's been impressive so far. Adding a boatload of new fans every week. thoughts?

Can't stand the edited version. I have more fun playing the "Debra f-bomb" drinking game in the original version. Just something missing in this version.

I've never seen the unedited version (no cable ), so I don't know how the CBS version compares to the Showtime version. But I've watched all the episodes that have aired so far on CBS and I'm HOOKED.

It's not a very good show. Don't waste your time.
