MENUDO on Silver Spoons

I'm pretty sure that some of you are aware of Nick at Nite's Revenge of the 80s week. Last night was Diffrent Strokes and tonight was Silver Spoons.

Did anyone catch tonight's episode featuring Menudo? I was wondering if there were any Menudo fans (or closet Menudo fans maybe?) out there. Many of my friends (or those around my age) don't remember Menudo at all, just that Ricky Martin was in a group called Menudo, and none of them are familiar with their songs (pre, during, and post Ricky's tenure in the group). Come on, I know you older folks remember them!!!

I was only 5 when they came to Hawaii for their concerts, but my memories of them are so vivid that I could not stop smiling as I saw them on TV again tonight. I know that I still have their LPs somewhere.

Today's teenyboppers (a handful of older ones) have NSYNC and BSB...15 years ago I had Menudo!!!

Woooo-Hooooo! Menudo Madness!! I was loving some Silver Spoons last night -- and YES I DID TAPE THE EPISODE! My husband kept saying "This is hell and I'm in the middle of it!" I don't care - I was having a blast! What's really sad is that I still remembered all the dance moves from that song. Oh - and I did have the Menudo tee-shirt and all that fun stuff! Ahhh -- the good 'ol days **AXO Alum laughing so hard at work right now**

I havent checked out Nick at Nite yet but I do remember Menudo very well. Epecially during the early 80s I think. If I remember correctly I was in 6th or 7th grade. They used to be on Saturday mornings during the cartoons. When they had Monchichis and Shirt tails too. Gummies might have been on around the same time also. I used to watch Silver Spoons a lot too but I never really tracked Menudo. My sister in law I think did. Shes an AGD Alum from VCU and her family is Puerto Rican.

I remember Menudo on Saturday mornings! I had a keychain. They were like Schoolhouse Rock. I think they were on a "Love Boat" episode too.
