Cool

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT BLEACH YOUR BROWS! Believe me, I had it done professionally, and it was horrible! Another option you can have is to use a light brown (or whatever lighter color) pencil on your brows so that they appear lighter. This is a makeup trick I've learned from beauty pageants, and it really works!

Cool

bucutie - it sounds like you and I are in the same boat! I have very dark hair and very light skin. I've been highlighting & coloring my hair forever, mostly because it is very thick and if I don't do something to brighten it it looks like a dead pelt on my head. My highlights/color have been burgundy, copper, honey brown and every colour in between. And I've NEVER done anything with my (black) brows, other than pluck them, and they look fine. I have a good friend who owns a salon and believe me, she would tell me if I needed to bleach them! I feel lucky that I've never had to mess with them - seeing someone who needs to "put their eyebrows on" who hasn't can be scary. Leave them alone, trust me.

Post Hair/Eyebrow Advice

This might sound like a silly question, but i dont know what to do....
I am a brunette and I want to dye my hair a lighter color. Actually this past summer I went to Visible Changes to get highlights and they turned out great!!! Some are still in my hair but getting them re-done would be better. The thing is that I always hated how dark my eyebrows would look with my hair highlighted. I know you can bleach them but would that be a good idea? I mean, I pluck them every so often, so bleaching them would be a problem since they would grow out fast. What other options do I have besides just not dying my hair? Many people tell me they like me having dark hair since I am so faired skin and that it makes my face stand out more and look pretty.... but i want my hair lighter! Any advice?

bucutie, My hair naturally is light brown/dark blonde hair, but I have it lightened highlighted. Do *NOT* lighten/bleach your eyebrows. I tried this and it looks terrible! My eyebrows looked ORANGE!!! What's more, you get eyebrow "roots" (lovely, I know) and light brows look very false or invisible altogether.

Having blonde hair and "darker" brows is actually not that noticeable, unless of course you have nearly white hair and black brows or something. But I would advise you against tinkering with your eyebrow color!!
