Favorite SGRho National Program(s)
Sigma Gamma Rho has lots of great national programs throughout the year but usually there is one or two programs that people hold near and dear to their hearts. What's your favorite national, regional or chapter program and why?
My favorite is the Sigma Youth Symposium. I love this event because I think about being an adolescent and having access to such positive and inspiring people to learn from. I presented at our Joint Council's recent Youth Symposium and when participants asked me questions and were fully engaged, I was happy to share my knowledge and experience with them.

My favorite program is the Youth Symposium also. Also, the other programs dealing with youth such as the Mwanamugimu Essay Contest and Project Reassurance.

i enjoy the Youth Symposium.
but i wll put in votes for Project Reassurance. I've only participated in one event for this program but the turnout was great and the young ladies were extremely grateful.
and another vote for Mwanamugimu - i'm on my chapter's panel this year and i's be a reading soror next weekend! we've received a record # of essays this year.

I'm conflicted because we have great programs in Mwanamugimu and Operation Big Book Bag.
The Youth Symposium will have to be my favorite because the youth get to showcase themselves and their talents. After their done showing the world what makes them so wonderful, we get to teach them more about the world itself. All the while, the young people get to be in the presence of Sigma Women doing their actual community service. They see it and hear it.
I love hearing how different chapters pull off the Symposium in different but effective ways, and most on the second Saturday of March. Simply wonderful.

My favorite program is Operation Big Book Bag! Especially because a close family friend and my mothers line Sister the Late (LaRona J. Morris) developed this program. This one is close to my heart. I also like Wee Savers

I vote for the Minority Bone Marrow Drive. My Chapter, Iota Nu Sigma is now in it's 6th year of hosting this event at our local mall.
Each year I am amazed at how great the need is for minority donors that can save a person's life.
