Exclamation Insomnia - please help!!

I can't sleep!! Can anyone share any remedies for inducing sustained sleep?

This was mildly irritating at first...after all, I can catch up on a lot of stuff while the world's asleep....but now it's downright ridiculous! What's more, I feel absolutely no effects during the day.

I'll crash soon, I just know it...I just need to make sure to break this pattern of sleeplessness. Thank God, this week is free of deadlines, but next week, I'm not so lucky....

Any suggestions?

(And please spare me the ideas for massive imbibing, or the foolish notion that my greekdom is on my conscience!!)

Cool

equeen -

Sorry about your insomnia!!! Mr. 33 was freelancing for awhile and he had the same problem. True, he didn't have to get up to go to work, but his schedule started to make him nuts.

One of the things I have heard is only use your bed for sleeping - don't lie on the bed & read, eat etc.

St. John's Wort is supposed to help you get on a regular sleep schedule, but check with your doctor first. It doesn't help everyone (me for one) and can mess up the effectiveness of birth control pills.

Good luck! ZZZZZZZZZZ.

hey equeen!

i haven't heard from you yet, so i'm going to email you. i have LOTS of things that you should/shouldn't do. The bed thing is ABSOLUTELY correct. A bed (and bedroom!)should ONLY be used for sleeping. Well....and maybe one other thing

But please, don't take ANY herbal supplements!!!!! They are not regulated or proven by the FDA. I will tell you my horrible story about my experience in an email........

I have medication info, food do's and don'ts, excercises, etc....... Please don't give up on this because it can turn into a life long problem. Trust me.

Hope to talk to you soon!
