Please Pray....

Please pray for her and her family...

The missing woman happens to be a member your elite sorority. Even though I've never met her, she and I share a bond as greek sisters and as black a woman. I hope whoever sees this will pass this along so that she is found.

Woman Missing After Going To Visit Beauty Salon
Family Believes Missing Woman Has Met With Foul Play

POSTED: 8:07 am EST January 29, 2007
UPDATED: 9:56 am EST January 29, 2007

CHILLUM, Md. -- A 25-year-old woman from Chillum, Md., went to a beauty salon on Friday and has not been seen or heard from since, her family said.
Sintia Mesa left for an appointment Friday at a beauty salon in Randallstown, Md., and her family said they are growing increasingly worried.
"I just want her to know we're here hoping for her safe return home," her sister Claudina Mesa said. "We just want her home soon. We don't want her out there another night." Claudina Mesa said her sister missed a 3 p.m. nail appointment Friday as well as a mandatory job meeting at 6:30 p.m. She also said her sister's 2004 silver Toyota Solara with Maryland Chesapeake Bay license plates 31421-BY, is also missing.
Police said the missing woman's cell phone was found in a Dumpster and now her family believes she has met with foul play.
"I do kind of sense that she's with someone she doesn't know and that, that person kind of forced their way into her car somehow and has her somewhere against her will," her sister said.
Relatives filed a missing person's report, which is being investigated by Baltimore County police. Meanwhile the family keeps the lights on, hoping she'll come home.
Anyone with information about Sintia Mesa is asked to contact the Baltimore County Police Department.

It is a sad thing.......BUT

Coulda, woulda, shoulda and why didn't she will NOT bring this soror back on earth physically. Therefore, your need to vent would have been more appropriate in your journal.

^^^^ You have made some valid general points and if this is true in this case my heart goes out even more to the family.

However to be fair to her sister, parents, and sorors there could be a couple of scenarios. They may have talked to her until they were blue in the face--if she didn't want to hear it she wasn't going to listen.

On the other hand, maybe she did listen and was trying to end the relationship.

ETA: This was in response to the original post.

I understand. I was one of those good girls who married such a type. This is what I tell all young ladies who will LISTEN. The key word is listen. I wasn't trying to listen.

I read the post before it was edited and I will say this..

We all make dumb decisions, we all have put ourselves in situations we KNOW we shouldn't have been in, we...well most of us have dated someone that our parents and friends warned us against...needless to say our dumb decisions does not mean that someone has to right to take a life.

I still feel very bad for this girl and her family. It is only by the grace of God that I am alive today. We don't know what was going on to make this girl hang out with this boy. We don't know what her home life was like, it is so easy to assume by looking at people on the outside that they have it all togehter. Truth be told the prettiest and most popular girl on campus can have the worst and jacked up life. Let's not get into what "could have, should have" happened and just remember the life of the loss and pray for her family!

I too read the post before it was edited.

Wether this young woman kept bad or good company, she was still a human being who did not deserve to have her life taken, and surely didn't deserve to have it taken in this manor. I think to suggest that her family and friends didn't try to stop her is very irresponsible on your part. Are you in her family? Are you one of her close friends? It doesn't even sound like you two were that tight, so how would you know what they tried to do. I understand some of things that you were trying to say, but I just don't think this was the appropriate place for that.

Rest in Peace Soror Sintia

Yesterday, sorors from several chapters came together to celebrate her life. Whether her choices were right or wrong, she was a beautiful woman. Please pray for her family and for the speedy arrest of anyone involved with this heinous crime.
