packing procrastinators
hey gang,
it's been kinda slow on these boards lately, so i've actually begun packing. i hate this. i barely unpacked my stuff from last semester, but i am SO disorganized that i don't know where to start in RE-packing everything. i have a mountain *very literally* of laundry to do, books, music and other things to pack and just don't know how to do it. someone help me before i end up just throwing everything in my car and driving off!
anyone else having this problem?
fraternally,
etienne

I'm sorry, I do sympathize(sp?) with you. I fortunately don't have that problem. Well I do have a ton of laundry to do, but that's another thread. I have an apt so I don't have to move anywhere! I actually just moved into my place in May, so I was there w/ ya etienne. Moving is the worst!

Feeling your pain etienne. I am currently living as a gypsy. Better watch your babies folks. I HATE my living situation. It's all about the drama. I was living at a brothers house, and his mother got the news that she has cancer so is returning from Europe for treatment. I don't need to be involved in their drama, so I moved out. I checked with the housing office on campus and found these three guys who are really cool and had a house and were looking for a fourth (DSS, DSL, balcony, pool, the works. Shouldhave known it was too good to be true) (would have moved in with other brothers, but EVERYONE was in a lease). So I move in day before yesterday and they are HARD CORE smokers. Pot smoke makes me sick. Not to mention the lines of coke they were doing on the coffee table when I got home from work yesterday. Not my scene. So this chick I am friends with and I are getting an apartment on Sept. 5th. (the earliest we could get in somewhere) So it's snowing at my house till then. I hate my life. This is the 4th move for me since June. Not detracting from your problems etienne, but I wish my only problem was a pile of laundry. I don't even bother unpacking anymore. I live out of boxes. Anyone else out there have any harrowing housing tales so I don't feel like such a looser/victim of circumstance?

When I saw this topic, I knew you were talking to me. I'm so bad, do you know I missed my plane back home from Korea! I had semi finished packing the day before (you know those partially packed suitcases - you keep thinking if you wait longer there will magically be more room) and went souvenir shopping the morning that my plane was set to take off. Then I realized I had to repack to get all the souvenirs and (and had to throw away half my clothes ). So I missed the plane but I got another one 3 1/2 hours later. So while you have the never-unpacking-procrastination (hey, I never fully unpacked my suitcases the entire year I was there), I really have the wait-til-the-last-minute-to-pack procrastination.
Lifesaver, I am so sorry.
BTW, I'm home!

well gang, the packing procrastinator has struck again. i packed all my belongings into a honda civic and a minivan this evening. i waited until the VERY last minute to finish my laundry...so pathetic that my MOM finished it for me. i was too worn to finish myself. i found a jumping spider in my basement, in my down comforter. i jumped higher than he did...i didn't even know spiders COULD jump...guess you learn something new every day. so tomorrow, my father, my little sister *biological, not fraternal!* and i will be trekking in two cars to *hopefully sunny* hartford, CT. wish me luck in my travels as i wish everyone who has yet to travel thier luck as well. i wish you all well this fantastic labor day weekend and plan on partying my ass off with my sisters as i hope you plan on doing as well. have a great weekend and i'll write when i get my computer running.
fraternally yours,
etienne

Yes, isn't it sad? Fortunately, I'm not too stuck on clothes, but I was still sad. I was really angry when I realized I left my rather expensive knee high leather boots there. Now that upset me. I was okay, though, but I don't have anything to wear now!
Speaking of procrastinating, I got back the week before last and I still haven't unpacked!
