Broken Home Syndrome

According to psychologists, children with divorced parents supposedly have serious relationship issues. I was thinking last night that my parents' wonderful marriage has screwed up my relationship perception issues just as much as coming from a so-called broken home would have. In different ways, of course.

So...

Are your parents together or separated?
How do you think that's affected your relationships and perceptions of relationships?
How do you think the opposite situation from yours might affect children?
My parents got divorced when I was 16. I think it messes with my perception of relationships because I feel like my dad abandoned me. All "divorced kids" feel that way, but I think because I was 16, I feel like he got the chance to know me as a person, and that still wasn't good enough for him to stick around. So, sometimes I feel like no matter how "good" I am, the other person will leave.

Plus, my dad left my mom for a younger woman. Oh, you can imagine how many issues this brings up.
