I Love The Wire!!

I am hooked to this show. It's funny because I didn't watch any episodes until they had the first five episodes on a Saturday night ~ I think last month or so. I taped all of them and got hooked. Not to mention that I think Idris Elba (Stringer Bell) is GORGEOUS!!

Anyway, last night's episode was soooooo good. I was not expecting it to end that way at all. I can't wait for next week!!

I don't think there is an HBO original series that I don't watch. For me, Sunday is HBO. LOL!!

Man, is that the one where the girl cop gets all dressed up for a sting? I missed it!!! My brother got me hooked. ANd since its about my state, I feel kinda connected (although I don't live in Baltimore, I'm closer to DC.)

DeeGeePee, I think it comes on again tonight!

Serenity, I wasn't expecting that AT ALL. I don't know the names, but the reactions of the other cops were acted SOOOOO well. Especially the black guy cop who used to be on Oz. Okay, BOTH of them, the Lieutenant (who played Mobay on Oz) and then the young one, who played the C.O. who became a revolutionary.

As you can see, The Wire is too complicated for me to remember names.

I also really like Bubs (there's one I remember!). He is pretty complex, and he cleans up well in real life.

I know who you're talking about, LOL!! Yeah, his reaction (Oz CO/Revolutionary Guy) was too much. It's like we all (characters and audience) were just so shocked that that happened. Last night's show could have been the season finale cuz it was THAT GOOD!!

Did you see the preview for next week? He has to tell Kema's girl what happened. DAMN!! And she already had issues with Kema being a cop.

I like Bubs, too. He does clean up well, huh? I saw him on an HBO ad and he looked so different, but the same. You know? Anyway, I hope he stays on the right track. But, I can see him being right back at The Towers looking to score.

Hey, do you root for a particular side? For once in my life, I really want the cops to win, mostly because Avon's people killed Omar's man. :-(

Yeah, I'm rooting for the cops too. Surprisingly... I love Mcnaulty (w/ the two sons who played I-Spy at the market). He's crazy, somewhat irresponsible, but cool. I like the Lieutenant, too.

SHE AIN'T DEAD! (at least not yet)

It is like 30 minutes into the show on the 18th. . .it's good so far, but I'm a little pissed that McNulty gave Bubs money for drugs, just to get info about Kima's shooter.

sad

It's a new cop show on HBO, set in a Baltimore City narcotics unit.

My mouth hung open during most of last night's episode. It was so good. And I even missed like the first 15 minutes of it.

I can't believe they shot Wallace. But what was he thinking going back to the Towers? He just didn't get what D'Angelo was trying to tell him. Too bad. Are those his brothers and sisters that he is always taking care of? I wonder what will happen to them. His mother has issues. I wonder if she's even going to care about what happened to him.

I have such renewed respect for the Lieutenant. Especially when Burrell tried to blackmail him. That was CLASSIC!!

I don't know about D'Angelo's mother. What a shame that material things mean more to her than doing what's right, but hey, that happens every single day. D'Angelo better hold his head if he wants to make it out of the game alive...

I can't wait for next week. I hope we find out about Kema.

It was really freaking good, yo. . .

As far as Wallace goes, I can understand why he went back. I mean, all he knew was "The Game". . .it's hard to think outside of the box when that's all you know.

Like, I like Lt. Daniels A LOT more now. . .he totally held his own. Is it just me, or does he seem a lot older than the character he played on Oz.

I wonder if this show will get any sort of Emmy consideration for next year.

Finally. . .what was Avon THINKING sending his own nephew on that run to New York with dope in the trunk? That was just STUPID.

I really want to cops to win this. . .
