There are some tools on your Foundation web site with some ideas that may work. Also, talk to your regional alumnae recruitment director-- she will have tons of ideas used by other chapters throughout the US and Canada.
I'd suggest something involving red hearts since your philanthropy is Women's Cardiac Care. Maybe the sisters should wear red for this round-- either red polo shirts, or a red ribbon on your wrist, around your waist or in your hair. Something like that...
For a craft... You could do something where you make heart-shaped valentines and decorate them with glitter, paints, etc., and glue on a card that includes tips on women's health care. These can be dropped off at a local community center or women's center, as informational literature.
You could also make some kind of heart shaped button with a URL to a web site about heart care with personal decorations-- glitter, paint, etc.-- after recruitment, the APhi's can wear them and hand them out on campus as part of some weeklong promotion about heart health awareness. Maybe call it "Have a Heart" or something...
If you can have food at your events, maybe everyone can decorate (diabetic-friendly) heart shaped cookies with different colored icing and sprinkles.... eat some and save some to drop off at local women's clubs, etc., or a retirement home...
If the Foundation has some kind of DVD presentation, show it. Don't forget to also talk about the other kinds of service activities you are involved with around campus, as well describing your signature event!
Also, instead of a craft, you could also play some kind of a game which pairs PNMS up with sisters and where you teach PNMs about smart heart care-- it would be a lot more unique b/c all of the other sororities do crafts... and honestly, not everyone likes the crafts!!!
