OMG, are they indicating that Sororitys have sex on their front lawns and smoke weed, and swear like drunken ???.

This seems to be a typical response from any neighbor hood that always say, "Not In My Backyard"!

Amazing how many Greek Houses there are in neighborhoods from border to border and sea to shining sea that have little or no problems!

While it would be nice to have GLO areas built for us at a reasonable cost and fairly close to campus, it does not seem to happen often does it?

At my school:

LXA has house to the South and West.
ASA has houses to the N and West.
SX and PKA have houses on each side of them and behind them. They are next to each other.
SPE has none as school has bought the entire bolck except for them.
STG has none and school will eventually buy it as own the whole area surrounding it.
AGD has houses on both sides and at the rear.
SSS has houses on N and West sides.

Very few problems arise.

"Not In My Back Yard!"

Without having a map to see how the GLOs are distributed makes it hard to really judge this situation. Reading between the lines, I'd guess that the neighbors don't want to have another place for fraternity guys to gather, copulate, urinate, etc.

Yes, it's a house for the KDs, but I'd presume the folks in the neighborhood & powers that be are more fearful of having the guys coming around to see the ladies.
