Knitsnpurls' Recruitment Thread

It seems like summer has flown by! I can't believe recruitment kick off starts tomorrow. Even though we don't start Open House until the 31st, I'm getting nervous already. I have my outfits picked out though, and I'm excited to start

The sororities on my campus are: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Chi Omega, Tri-Delta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Pi Beta Phi, Tri-Sigma, and Zeta Tau Alpha. I had gotten mixed responses on whether I would need recs or not, but in my attempt to casually ask around and obtain a couple, I was able to get them for 7/9 chapters! While I know this doesn't give me any guarantees, I definitely feel more at ease knowing that I covered all of my bases And I'll definitely be sure to get thank you's out to all of the women who took the time out to write one.

While I'm so glad to finally have a reason to wear all of my skirts and dresses, I usually live in jeans, so my code names are all based off of jean brands haha

Sevens
Citizens
Paige
Chip
Pepper
Hudson
Joe's
Diesel
Antik

Everyone on this board has been great in helping me research everything. Here's hoping that things go well!

I also live in jeans, so i'm liking your code names. Of all those on that list, nothing hugs my curves quite like Citizens!
Best of luck!!

Good luck to you during recruitment. Try to have fun (my daughter managed despite the heat and heavy schedule). The rewards appear to make it all worth it....watch out for the rain, etc. from "Ernesto" as it makes its way north.

Apparently mother nature didn't get the memo that rush is a "dry" event, because about an hour before kick off tonight, it starting POURING outside (bad joke, I know ). It didn't seem to affect the turnout though because it was packed! To accomodate Ernesto, however, rush events have been cancelled for tomorrow, so we'll have to wait another day. Instead of spreading open house over 2 days, we're going to visit all 9 on Friday. It's gonna be such a long day, but it'll be worth it if it's going to be drier (and cooler).

The girls in my group, as well as our recruitment counselors, all seemed really nice. Hopefully, I'll get to know everyone a little bit better as the week goes on. I feel a lot less nervous now; I think I made the right choice in deciding to rush
