Unhappy Sad news

Did everyone see this? Just thought I'd share the news.

TO: Former and Current Governing Council Members, Foundation Board of
Directors and Trustees, Chi Omega Friends and Sisters

FROM: Mary Ann Frugé
National President

This is a sad day for Chi Omega and the entire Greek Community as we note
the passing of our beloved sister and friend, Roselyn Threadgill Dabbs.
Roselyn Threadgill Dabbs, who successfully blended a loving family life, an
outstanding leadership role in her community of Quitman and a life of
service to her beloved Chi Omega Fraternity, died on March 6, 2001 after an
extended illness.

To honor Roselyn T. Dabbs, all Chi Omegas are asked to wear a ribbon of
black beneath their Chi Omega badge on the day of Chi Omega's Founding,
April 5. In addition, the ceremony in which we honor our Founders will have
a tribute to Roselyn and will be sent to you shortly.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2001 from 5-7 p.m. at Wright Funeral
Home with services on Friday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at the First United
Methodist Church in Quitman. The family requests memorials be made to the
Chi Omega Foundation, 3395 Players Club Parkway, Memphis, TN 38125.

Roselyn's outstanding commitment to her family, her community and her
Fraternity leave an unparalleled legacy of love, service and devotion. Her
spirit filled all Chi Omegas and the Fraternity as an organization with
passion and inspiration; her spirit will live on forever.

That IS sad news! She was such a dedicated person. It would be great if Chi Omega could have more alumnae like her! She was very well-respected and I know she will be missed.
