I was just on another message board, and saw the most interesting tradition! Whenever someone on the board has a new baby, each of the others can become a Fairy Godmother, and bestow a gift on the new baby. Would that we could really do that, but since we can't, we can have fun with it:

To Forest Christopher, I bestow the gift of Friendship. May each of his friends treat him with joy and respect, may his friends be plentiful yet choice, and may he always want to treat his friends with that same wonderful sense of caring and dignity.

To Forest Christopher, I bestow the gift of morality. May he forever be able to know what is right from wrong and to follow his heart & head in his decisions and not to let peer pressure make them for him.
