You know you're cheap when you...
I was just thinking about some of the crazy things I've seen or heard people with money do that I thought was (for lack of a better word) CHEAP
You know you're cheap when you:
1. Go to restaurants and tell people its your birthday so you can get something free.
2. Plan to spend 6 hours or more at the movie theatres watching more than one movie so you can get your "money's worth."
3. Order a pizza eat some of it and then call the pizza place back and tell them they got the order wrong just so you can get another pizza for free.
4. Scope out luncheons on campus and pretend to be invited in order to get a free meal.
Let's keep it going..

Beating the System
Interesting. My friends tell me I'm "always devising ways of beating the system." LOL
I call and get my returned check fee waived EVERYTIME. I usually just sweettalk the associate. They can really do it if they want to. If it doesn't work the first time, I'll call back to see if I can catch a "brotha" or a "sista"
I haven't paid retail for clothing in yeeeears, don't plan on paying it, and I still look good.
Aiight aiight. A few times, I've packed a blonde hair (blonde so they don't think I did it) in my bag and planted it in my food as I was halfway through my meal to get it free. I learned this from my father. He used to catch a roach, kill it, put it in a medicine bottle, and bring it to the restaurant.
There was a murder in the apartment complex I'm moving in. It wasn't random or anything and it wasnt a break in. The guy who was killed was a parole officer and one of his parolees did it. I already knew this a long time ago, but I called the leasing office "distraught" and said the whole situation didn't sit well with me and I was considering not moving in. How bout I get the first 3 months 1/2 off in addition to a discounted rate for the whole year. That's whats up!

My father
I was gonna go to bed, but I have to tell y'all about my crazy Daddy who is ridiculous when it comes to this. Two things he did that I still can't believe:
1. He claimed we were taking care of a sick "Uncle Grady" in another state to get a tax break. Y'all, we ain't got no Uncle Grady. ROTFL!!! He was audited not long after and had to pay Uncle Sam back for Uncle Grady.
2. A long time ago (I guess before most ATMs had cameras), my Daddy went IN the bank and withdrew money from his account THEN went outside (before the teller could process the withdrawal) and withdrew the same amount from the ATM. He got a letter in the mail a week or so later about it and had to put money back but he said he only did it cuz he needed money and it 'bought him some time'
Crazy, y'all, my Daddy is crazy

I will hold on to the wrappers with the UPC label part of things like pillsbury biscuits and cookie dough call the customer service line a few months later wondering if it safe to eat ( I had already ate it and enjoyed it months ago) and they send me coupons for free and half off any of their goods.
I'll call a fast food joint after I have ate there ask to see the manager and tell them how dissatisfied I am with the service. They usually give me free lunch or dinner.

I've done the birthday thing a couple times LOL.
Back in the day, we used to go to CHesapeake Bay Seafood House ALLLL the time. Now, there were 2 locations we went to. At one, kids 6 and under ate for free, the other they ate for 50 cents. Now, just off the top, me an my brother have always looked older than our age, but YOU BEST BELIEVE we were both under six until we were like 9 or 10 LOL. We did this wherever there was an age thing.
Also, my mother is the coupon Queen of the World. This one time, she went into Safeway, rang up like $40 worth of stuff. Once they scanned her coupons (doubled of course) the total went to $11 and some change. The guy behind her was SOOOOO blown LOL. I've done it too and had like taken $20-$50 off the total. CLIP THEM COUPONS!!!
Oh, and my friend uses the 10-10-220 thing, the one where you get 20 minutes for 99 cents, well her and her cousin just time 20 minutes and take turns calling each other back. And EVERYBODY does the collect call thing, call collect and when they say "say your name" you actually say a message, like "Come get me" or "Call me back".
Anybody ever gone to the grocery store and eat or drink something as you shop and then stash it behind a shelf when you get done? I used to do that when I was younger, but now I pay for it, even if its empty.

Birtha what you know about Chesapeake lol... We used to go to the one in New Carrolton and I was six for a looong time until the waiters started to catch on.
As far as being cheap I used to have a press pass for the school newspaper and would go to restaurants and say I was writing an article about restaurants in the area and they would give me either free food or a nice discount

Going to other people's luncheon's on campus is DEFINITELY the way to go as a student. I mean, think about it, they prolly not gonna eat all that food anyway, why have it go to waste?
Anybody else jack utensils (metal or plastic) from the cafeteria? As well as napkins and other items? (Trays, plates, assorted condiments, etc.)

Now I haven't done it
But I have heard of people who separate two ply bathroom tissue to get more wear and also taking condiments out of fast food restaurants and filling their bottles at home
