"Damn Yankees". Baseball themed musical with lots of good songs.

I like the Damn Yankees idea because with being PiPhi you could use the whole devil vs. angel theme.

If you wanted to do something more hip-hoppish there was that great rap song collaboration a few years ago called "Batter Up", it featured Nelly but it also had Murphy Lee and that whole gang. It's sort of like a skit/song anyways so you could change the lyrics and have fun with it.

I'm having flashbacks to rush my junior year...we did a baseball theme for the first night that included Sigma baseball jerseys and a dance with real (heavy wood) baseball bats to that 80s song "Centerfield" to which we had changed the chorus to "put me in Sigma, I'm ready to pledge...today...look at me...I could be...Sigma 3" We also made up our own lyrics for "Take Me Out to the Ball Game"

The Movie "A League of Their Own." You can incorporate swing dancing, baseball and the cocky sports agent, two real life sisters and maybe some friends going to "tryouts" and then getting into Pi Phi. You can sing "Now and Forever" at the end and rewrite the words to "We are the members of the Girls All-American League" song as a closing door chant.
/my chapter used a variation on this theme for our "video day" (we don't have skits) and it goes over really well.

There is a song out by Trace Atkins called "Swing" it's catchy...perhaps that will help if you like country! Good Luck!

[QUOTE=adpiucf] You can sing "Now and Forever" at the end [QUOTE]
We did this at the end of our baseball skit with some minor word changes (if I remembered them I would share) and it worked out really well. Our skit was centered around someone trying out for a baseball team and finding that the "Sigma Team" was the one she fit in best with. We had the girl who was looking for teams ask a lot of basic questions that PNM's ask like "What makes you guys such good friends?". We did Sigma baseball jersey's and baseball caps. The sisters who were not in the skit wore sigma T shirts and kakhi shorts and sigma baseball caps like we were at a baseball game. We were allowed food at that party, but nothing major so we did popcorn, pretzels, soda, and candy like you would buy at a sprots field. We even found napkins and glasses at a local party store.
