ADPi Houses
I love how DG has a link on their national site with all their houses on it. I wonder if we could possibly pursuade our nationals to do the same. All we need to do is have all the chapters with houses submit a pic of the house. I wish we actually could have a whole book with all about the houses and pics of the houses in old times. I love to see all that and read on the history of each of them. I think a lot of members would be interested. What does everyone think?

I would absolutely LOVE that!! I love looking at houses, interior design, and such, and what could be nicer than seeing the different ADPi houses? Or suites, or chapter rooms, for that matter!
Of course, I'm still testing my "Blue & White Room" theory!

That would be cute, I love checking out chapter houses. With EO working on the website renovations y'all should contact headquarters and pitch your suggestion. This would be the best time if there was one to get this up there.

A new ADPi website is going to be rolled out later this summer. I don't know the total details but it is going to be much more comprehensive and have many more bells & whistles!

I can remember seeing the Alpha Theta house, and thinking, "That is NOT an ADPi house!" - but then I realized, it was appropriate for its campus. An antebellum mansion just doesn't work at every college.
Isn't Upsilon the "Rock House"?

Yep! The rock room is at Upsilon. On the picture, if you look where the sun is shining on the house by the front door (to the left on the pic), the rock room is one floor down. Its definitely a conversation starter during recruitment, let me tell you!! :-D

When the house was built, there was a rock so large they couldn't move it with the technology at the time. So instead of trying to move it, they built around it. Now there is a giant room inside the house with a monstrous rock inside. We got in there for Halloween one year and told ghost stories. It was so cool, but we got in tons of trouble (normally members aren't allowed in there).
Rumor has it that the rock goes almost a block down the street and that Pi Phis also have a rock room around the same rock. We've never been able to prove this theory though.

It always reminds me of that Dick Van Dyke show, when either the Petries or the Helpers have a rock in the basement, and the other pays them for the water it causes (or something like that).
