It's a boy!!!!

Dear brothers,

This is a bit self-indulgent, but I wanted to announce that my wife and I were proud to welcome our new son -- Nicholas Benjamin Cubillos -- at 6:38 a.m. on June 20, 2006!

Nicholas weighed 7 pounds, 7.2 ounces at birth and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is 100% healthy and Tina and I brought him home on June 21. He's our first son together (my wife has a son from her first marriage) and now the 4th member of our family.

The Bible said that we should leave behind a legacy, and I'm proud to now have TWO. I can only pray that Brandon and Nicholas both grow to be men of Lambda Chi Alpha when they reach college. Brandon is 13 and has already asked me about my paddles and certificates.

Thank you everyone who has replied up till now. I'm actually lying in bed now using the laptop and right next to the baby. He was up till 4 am the night after he was born then till 6 am the day we brought him home!! He's a handful, but very worth it.

Honky, I'll have to give you a call as soon as I'm free. I'm in the mood for some HUGE meal.

I now understand the pride behind the legacy members we had back when I was active.

A few years back there was a great picture in the Cross and Crescent of a brother and his young son both wearing letters. Now I realize why it won an award.
