Awesome Kenny Chesney Story

Brothers,
I have to tell you about the awersome experience I had at Kenny's Tampa concert this weekend. My wife and I had 4th row tickets, which were awesome. Kenny came out in the middle of the stadium and then ran up to the main stage. As he was singing on stage I held up my Lambda Chi flag and he pointed to me. His second song was Keg in the Closet. As he was singing about the Lambda Chi porch he again pointed to me as I was waving my flag like crazy. Kenny put on a great show. At the end of his concert he was singing autographs and I ran up to the stage. He passed by my signing autographs, but as he turned he saw my flag again. He ran over, grabbed the flag and signed it "Yours in ZAX I.O. 555 Kenny Chesney" and then gave me a "handshake." It was an awesome experience. Even my wife was going nuts. Everyone around me asked why he came back and signed my flag. I ended up meeting some other brothers who were around me. Not only is Kenny a great entertainer, but he made my wife and I's anniversary.

Having been recognized by a musician on stage in the past, I know how thrilling that can be. As Tom would say, "Kuddos". And Happy anniversary!

Amazingly, I am the only person I know that even knows who the guy is, and that is only because of these boards!

He needs better promotion out here!!!!!!

Kenny Chesney's music isn't my style, but I respect him very much and that's one great story.

GammaZeta, I'm sure even if you're not a country fan that you've heard of him... heck, he's been on every gossip show and "short marriage" show ever since his marriage and very quick divorce to Renee Zellwegger.

Yeah, I have heard of Kenny a few times, and I like some of his songs.

I just find it amazing how little the New England area knows of him, considering he is a major act.

As if that techno version a few years back wasn't bad enough... that kiddie version on the commercial is horrible too. If I heard a country version I'd throw up!

Sorry to crash...but your experience just made me smile! I know a few of my sisters have had the chance to meet Carrie Underwood and shes always been amazing to the Sigmas that go to her concerts. Maybe the greek love is a country music thing??

Hey, I still have a Tri-Sig party shirt from St. Mary's Univ. in San Antonio, TX... gotta love the women of a great organization.

Yep, shes a Sigma from Alpha Iota chapter at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma!

Glad my sisters at St. Mary's left such a great impression on you. Unfortunately I've never met a LXA in real life, but the ones I've run across here on GC have been some of the nicest and knowledgable people

I'm thinking a perfect concert for us would be Kenny/Carrie
