I'm not a Beta Sigma Phi or anything but in general NYC is not very big on Greek life.

I actually recently requested information because I wanted to learn more about this organization. I don't know if I can do it all alone right now, especially with how insane my schedule is at work, but if there are any GC'ers in NYC who are interested in exploring Beta Sigma Phi more together, please contact me .

I think that people have such insane schedules here with work and what not, that they have such a hard time committing to anything. I get tons of "interest" emails on our DPhiE AA but hardly anyone ever shows to stuff outside of our regulars and I think that is because sorority is just not a priority for most in our area. I think that associations like this would probably thrive more in less urban areas. Plus, it's easier to "make friends" in NYC vs. in less urban areas IMHO, and I think the main reason people join orgs like ours is to make friends.

I'd do it if we could work out some sort of meeting arrangement. It's HELL for me coming into the city since I don't live within the limits.

interestees from NYC
Wow
I'm so glad to see that the the NYC interest in BSP has grown. Ladies have you considered doing a friendly venture?
Ladies of BSP correct me if I'm wrong but all you would need is 5-7 ladies to actually do a friendly venture right?

You need 7. And if you do a Career Chapter, the meeting load isn't heavy at all (for those having to travel into the city).

good luck!
good luck starting your chapter! It's going to be hard, as I'm sure many of you have gathered from most of my posts, but it will be very worthwhile in the end.
From one non-collegiate sorority sister (lol) to another, I wish you the best of luck!
ETA: OOps! this was supposed to go in the thread where all the NYC gals were talking about starting a BSP chapter!
