Jimmy Hoffa

Well... I still think he's buried in my high school classmates basement (aka his great nephew) but maybe not.

They are currently digging in *******, Mi due to a very good tip that he may be buried there.

When we lived in Detroit, I went to dinner at The Red Fox with a bunch of CBS Chicago Bureau people.

I went to the men's room, and kept expecting him to come out of a stall or something.

Being in a building where someone walked in and simply vanished was pretty wierd.

Phyllis, I'm trying to figure out what city in Michigan's name would get caught in this site's filter?

Wow I didn't even notice that? Why doesn't it like that name? It's just a city. It didn't do anything wrong.

My vote is still in the cement at the Ren Cen or under 696, which was under construction at the time. Will we ever know?

ETA: And how do we know he's not in the witness protection program somewhere?

I know a few years back their was a story about a guy who on his death bed confessed to killing Hoffa. He said he took Hoffa to a house in Mt. Clemens and shot him in the basement then put the body in a car's trunk and dumped the car somewhere in NJ. Who knows how true it is but it seems illogical to transport his body all the way to Jersey from Michigan. Too many chances of getting caught en route.

I've heard the Ren Cen (Renaissance Center for you non Detroit folks) talk, and also heard under Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands in NJ.

My sister-in-law used to be an office manager for Waste Management in Detroit. I'm not gonna ask...

I heard that he was buried under Giants Stadium in NJ.

Phyllis, don't worry. You didn't do anything wrong. I am curious about the site filter also.

Another old joke...

Do you know what they found when they finally got all of Tammy Faye Baker's makeup off?

...Jimmy Hoffa.

M-i-l-f-o-r-d?! That's like a town and half from where I grew up. Interesting....

FYI, per John the filter is set to catch some other things as well - though I'm not sure why it didn't like the town name above - but I don't know all the "extra" words filtered.

If I recall, the town name was the same as a young man who was falsely accused of a rape and John put a filter on it because people kept posting the story.

The FBI sounds pretty confident that they're going to find something. I guess they gave their source a lie detector test about it before they called in the bulldozers and stuff. They have students from Michigan State's geology department coming in with equipment that can detect different densities in soil that might indicate that something was buried in different locations. They're even talking about tearing down a barn to dig below it. The FBI agents they have interviewed on our local TV (not sure what kind of national coverage this is getting) said it is the best tip they've had. Apparently the farm was owned by somebody that Hoffa met with regularly, on that farm and who was very angry with him. It's an interesting story to follow, that's for sure!

LOL, the FBI is always confident!

Incompetent is more like it.

Hoffa was placed in the Gloppada-Gloppada Machine in Detroit. Jack Lemon is still trying to find Him!
