Hey ladies!!! I know I haven't posted much lately, but I'm still around and now I need help!! Before I start combing through all the rental webites and running into dealing with people I DON'T know, I figured I'd turn to my sisters first!!
I'm looking to move to NYC on or around the beginning of September. I haven't totally scoped out the area yet and need some tips on locations and pricing. What are the worst areas to stay away from? Any leads on good places to check out that aren't astronomical (price-wise) would be appreciated!!!
Also, if any of you or anyone you know (preferably sisters) are wanting to move/looking for a roommate, LET ME KNOW!!! Any and all feedback would be appreciated. Love you ladies!!

HEY DA!
didnt you grow up in upstate like me??? .... personally, i have lots of friends from the city area, and they all say to stay like in brooklyn or even LI .... if you go to long island, theres actual houses and homes and what not - not all skyscraper huge ass apt. buildings. I was thinking of moving back to ny when i graduated, and if i was to go there- it DEFINITELY wouldnt be upstate, but out in Long Island. Granted its expensive, but you get what you pay for there .... i would say check that out .. because the LI Expressway takes you right into the City. ... i think its like 15 minutes?? Check that stuff out girl. And i have family and sisters in/from Brooklyn and its actually kind of a neat little place
