Which decade was better?
80's? Or 90's?
Why?

Do you really have to ask? The '90s!
I HATE the '80s. I hate the music, I hate the clothes, and unfortunately, both have been very trendy the last few years.
My reason for hating the '80s? Other than the songs being cheesy and the clothes being loud and obnoxious, anything from that decade reminds me of being a child. As a kid, I was a big nerd; my mom made me wear some terrible outfits and wouldn't let me pick out my own clothes.
One time I heard a radio deejay make a joke about this very subject. He commented on how the music of the '80s was all peppy and upbeat, and then the '90s came and everybody was all miserable and wanted to just kill themselves. I guess I prefer the darker, more grungy music.

The 80s. The 90s was about people from the 80s realizing they can't spend so much money or do as many drugs.

Listen. It's not even a contest. The 90's dominates the 80's. I don't have much time right now, but I'll quickly list a few reasons why.
I got my first BJ in the 90s
I lost my virginity in the 90s
Boyz II Men
ABC
BVD
(if you know the next words to this song, then say it)
We had Tupac talkin about not raping girls...
...Then Tupac raped a girl
Girls decided to shave their beavers (I'm just comparing porn of the 80s vs 90s)
The women of the 90s are younger, while the women of the 80s are reaching the late 30's and 40's.

Seinfeld was the only good thing about the 90's. Other than that, I've pretty much blotted the whole crappy decade out of my brain. The whole era was depressed and depressing and patting itself on the back for it. Yuck!
And if you actually were an adolescent in the 80's, you heard lots more than the stereotypical music and didn't wear the stereotypical clothes (as I'm sure people who were that age in the 70's, 60's and 50's will agree).

Haha, you're so predictable!
Further thoughts on the subject:
The men in the '80s had that big hair that made them look like women. At least you knew the sexuality of the men in the '90s simply by looking at them.

Ahhh yes, I had a lot of good things that happened in my personal life during that decade, too. I was 8-18, fun times.
Also, I remember people being more liberal during the '90s than the '80s and even now in some ways.
The internet became mainstream.
Rap and hip-hop was awesome.
Great decade to grow up in.

the 90's had Kurt Cobain
the 80's had Corey Hane (Hayne? Hayes? whatever)
the 90's had baggy jeans
the 80's had ripped up sweatshirts
the 90's had Carmen Electra
the 80's had that chick from Blondie
i think the aughts (00-09) have been better than both

Well I'm not a huge fan of the 80s but I just think the early 90s sucked. Look at all the movies from then. Did they even make a happy movie? I feel like I lived through the Great Depression. LA had riots, NY was just dirty, and Canada decided not to love us anymore
I feel like the late 90s didn't really count as part of the decade and should be moved into the 2000s.
