deciding on chapter status, help needed :)

Hey Ladies:

I don't want to bring this up at chapter yet cos its only a thought, but I'm seriously considering a request for chapter status. I'm getting ready to go alumni (at the end of fall semester), and with all the craziness that is school and work, I feel it would be better to go chapter the semester I end my active sister period and transition to alumni status.

My question is....can I still hold my e-board position while on chapter status? As far as I remember, I'd have limited voting status, but wouldn't mind that at all. I just don't want to lose out on my e-board position.

Any help is much appreciated. Sorry if this has been posted...I did a search but didn't come up with much.

i'm sorry i couldn't be a little bit more definitive on this, but it's the end of the day on a friday - my brain's running through mush right now so i'll try to answer as best as i can right now.

i don't think you would be eligible to hold a position on e-board, e-council or j-board, if you are granted chapter status.

also, (now i could be wrong on this - maybe another sister could help if i'm incorrect) i believe you must be in good standing, as in a fully active sister the semester before you can be granted alumna status.

I'm not sure this is correct. I was on status the semester I graduated and, as far as I know, I'm an alumna now. However, I'm fairly positive you can't be on status and hold an e-board position.
