Revenge of the Nerds being remade

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Kyle Newman has signed on to direct "Revenge of the Nerds," a remake of the seminal 1984 teen comedy.

The project is being developed by Fox Atomic, the new young-adult genre division of Fox Filmed Entertainment. The studio is eyeing a summer start date.

Hasn't anyone in Hollywood heard the old adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?"

That sucks. I love the original for a multitude of reasons. The first being is that it was shot at U of A. So having been at the school I can pick out all the stuff from the movie. Plus, they used some of the actually Greek Houses. Like the current Alpha Gamma Rho house was used. I'm not sure what house was used for the Pi Delta Pi's (so sad that I remember the name of that sorority).


I definately agree, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I mean seriously can't they find another way to make a movie about Greek Life (because let's face that's what the movies about) instead of repeating themselves?

Hell, there's so many remakes and sequels out there. Dukes of Hazard...Poseidon Adventure...Herbie The Love Bug...Guess Who's Coming To Dinner...

Hollywood has seriously run out of ideas....but money is still to be made.
