Upsilon Members?

Hi All -

I'm new to this web site - in fact, found it through classmates.com! Just checking to see if there are any Washington State Alumnae out there. I still keep in touch with a few of my friends from 1974-78.

After I graduated I was a TCS (now traveling consultants) - and visited a TON of chapters - I don't suppose anyone would remember me coming to their chapter in 1978 or 79? Just curious! I had a lot of fun out there - and spent a lot of time at the U of Oregon, but I understand that chapter is closed. Robbie Gring and I were there for about 3 weeks in January of 1979.

I'm active in the St. Louis Alumnae group - we are pretty large (not individually...tee hee...just a lot of us!) and have "team" for the Race for the Cure in a couple weeks. I get to see Chris Dickey during some of the meetings - it's odd to have a peer be the Grand President!!! I suppose age does that to you.

Hope to hear from some fellow Upsilons!

Welcome to the board.
I think it is so awesome that you actually get to meet our Chris. I mean how many of us actually get to say we've met her. I would totally love to meet her (but not going to be this convention year).
I think it is awesome also having an active alumnae, we have a really active one here in Phoenix. I have met so many wonderful sisters through my involvement with the alum.

Actually, I knew Chris from WAY back - she was a traveller before I was and when I was a Province President, she was one here in Missouri. She is quite a "normal" person - we went to a Cardinals game last fall (she's a BIG fan of the Cards - her husband got her season tickets for Christmas one year, and now he can't quit!). I'll be interrested to see who is in the Grand Council to come - when I was initiated, Maxine Blake was Grand President!!!

hey susie, it's great to have you in the st. louis area! i'm sure you'll be meeting a few of the sisters during race for the cure! come by and see us at chapter sometime in the fall or help us out during recruitment at the beginning of the year. i would love to meet you!

I am from the 2006 pledge class! I pledged in Feb and went through Initiation this week! However, I also just went through the Pi ceremony today (4/22/06), too! I may have made the chapter's record of going through the ranks in a short time (a total of 8 or 9 weeks!). My sisters call me their "One-week Alpha-neophyte-Delta-Pi" member!!

Today was Founders' Day. I can't wait to come back in August for Formal and next year for Founders!

Hi there! I'm from Upsilon too! I was initiated in the summer (well, August) of 99 and took Jewel Degree in April of 04.

I live in Silverdale, WA now, but we'll probably be moving this summer.

Ahh fun times! I'm going to miss the house, even though I've been there just a short while. My big is getting married in July in Spokane, so I'm hoping to be able to go. Also, I'm hoping to go to Recruitment in August. I'm paying for the recruitment package, but it's the matter of getting a job and getting the time off for that job!
