Buying a House

I'm signing a contract on my first house on Sunday. I'm so scared!!!!! After I did all of the math, with tax benefits and everything, a two bedroom, two story townhouse is going to cost about the same as my one bedroom crappy apartment. But still, going $110,000 into debt is not a fun prospect!!! I'm building it from scratch, though, so I have to make sure my credit stays squeaky clean until March when I close!

As a side note... if anyone in the Charlotte/Rock Hill area wants the second bedroom, I'll charge very little in rent!

I'm being told that the first floor has been framed... I'm going to go down tomorrow to "visit" and take pictures. I've been fighting with the mortgage company (yeah, they see a 24-year-old single girl walk in and go.... "SUCKER") so that's been stressful, but assuming everything keeps going well, I'm moving in mid-April, just in time for my birthday!!!

Here are pictures. I did them on my camera phone b/c I forgot to take my camera to church and I didn't feel like driving all the way back home to get it, but you can still kind of tell:

posting photos

you need to be sure that the photos are on the web, then right click the photo, select properties, and copy the url of the image itself. Paste this into the img bar.

I don't believe you can do this from Yahoo. Try photobucket instead. It's free.

I bought a house as well. Townhome in fact. I paid 109 but mine was built in 1900! You wouldn't believe the cost of real estate in our area! Yikes!

Where are you???

When I was looking, I looked at places in Charlotte as well, and the houses up there were easily 10,000 more than in Rock Hill, where I bought. I'm right on 77, so not much farther than anything in Charlotte, anyway!
