Standing by your sisters?

I have been on this site a few times, and I see that a lot of people practice "cyber-friendliness", my new word for the day. I see a lot of topics that are controversial and are very heated. I started one myself. It was interesting to see the responses that I received. When you dont agree with your sisters, what do you do? Do you try to remain neutral or do you have her back no matter what? I say this because when I am in the company of my TRUE SORORS..I know that even when I am "wrong"..they back me in public, but scold me in private. I say this because I see how some people handle themselves on this site, and when someone says something "off the wall" from another organization...we tend to be neutral instead of standing our ground. Maybe its my personality, but I never back down from a challenge. What are your thoughts? I know the responses will be interesting.

This is the kind of topic best discussed one on one. I love all of my Sorors. However, The net is NOT the place to discuss any and everything. Often, there is a great misinterpretation of feelings and even ideas. Some people are better expressing themselves in person rather than in written form. I post on many boards and have been posting for many years. There is netiquette to this whole experience. My advice... we are only visiting this planet.

I agree with you; however, from some of the things I have read on this site and others are quite shocking.

This is a hard question to answer. I'm with my soror when she says My advice... we are only visiting this planet. It's one thing to take what you read on a message board personally, and it's quite another when you're face to face with someone.

It's also good to remember that just because you might not agree with a Soror on something posted on a message board, it doesn't mean that she doesn't like you, or doesn't respect you. Part and parcel of a good discussion is civility and being able to agree to disagree if you can't see eye to eye on something.
