Lenny Kravitz Lands Hendrix Movie Role?

ROCKER Lenny Kravitz will play Jimi Hendrix in a biopic about the legendary guitarist's life.

The movie is being produced by Hendrix family friend Elle Von Lear.
The movie will use the original recordings and expose new details about the counter-culture hero's 1970 death in London.

I couldn't see the article, but I thought originally Andree 3000 was supposed to the role but the family had some problems with that? Are they happier with Lenny?

I thought Andre was playing the role as well. If Lenny has landed the role and the family's friend is producing the movie, I guess they are okay with the choice.

I was not/am not a Hendrix fan, but I'd love to see Lenny.

His casting in that part would make sense since many consider Lenny to be our generation's Hendrix anyway.
