good call. would the infrastructure of GC crumble if we got the chat function working again?
this way, we wouldnt have to frantically respond back and forth to the same 5-7 threads we follow.

The chat was never really reliable...I remember getting booted for no reason. I don't know if it was because of the Java it used or what.
Anyway, the features pretty much sucked so all convos were moved to AIM chat. There's a thread somewhere in CC that got bumped whenever someone started a GC chat. It's been quite a while since they had them, though.
Hopefully with the new upgrades coming soon everything will get improved.

Details are few at this point as far as what and when. Hopefully John can give out more information sometime soon.

Why does the messageboard not send an alert when our mailboxes are full? Instead you only get notified when someone says somewhere on a thread to clean out your mailbox.
How many messages makes a mailbox full? Are there any capacity limits to the folders in which we save PMs?

I get an email alert.
You need to clean out your "sent" messages folder as well as your PMs.

I do as well. The thing that always got me was the "sent" messages folder. Since I started cleaning that out, I haven't had a problem.

Maybe John can make an upgrade to the system where it automatically deletes sent messages after 14 days like hotmail. This is always my downfall too, the sent folder and I di not get a "you're full" email either.
