Very good question, and I agree with you on him not having any integrity. I might sound like a broken record on this subject but I really don't believe that he deserved the award. Just my humble opinion.
I believe that he was a good president, the best we have had in my lifetime, but I really fail to see the affection that most black folks feel for him. I cringe when I hear folks talk about him being the first black president and all. He is not black and while I believe that he does have a geniune and heartfelt feeling about racism and the things that went on and continue to go on, I know that when it suites his own personal and politcal gains, he will drop us like a bad habit.
He has shown that with people close to him, that he is willing to let his friends drift in the wind to suite his own needs.
I mean when he gets in trouble, he comes a running back to us. I for one was offended when he settled in Harlem. I just believe that we should start tying our loyalty to action.
Ok, I will get off of my soap box now.
