I saw the preview of this today when I went to see Steve Harvey's new movie filmed at MegaFest in 2005.

It stars Tim Reid, Tichina Arnold, Patti LaBelle and Eartha Kitt.

All I could find so far is:
Set in Harlem, PREACHING TO THE CHOIR follows two brothers--one a hip-hop star, the other a preacher--as they make their way in life.

It will have limited release starting April 14 (Good Friday).

Synopsis: Sibling rivalry,gospel, hip-hop, and redemption in this comedy drama set in Harlem USA

Two brothers, one a hip-hop star called Zulu and the other the Baptist preacher at a Harlem church, have had conflict in their relationship for years, but when Zulu's life is endangered as the result of a contract dispute with a record company owner, they have to work through their problems and help each other. The minister brother's church is losing membership and has become stagnant, but Zulu's presence attracts curious teens and Zulu revitalizes the gospel choir. Each brother finds a way to help the other.

The sounds a lot like The Gospel, except it is two best friends, not brothers. Hmmmmm.
