Liva Las Vegas!!!!!!!

Soooooo I'm really excited b/c I will be going to Vegas for a business trip. I'll be there about 4 days, and we will have plenty of fun time.

This will be my first time, and I'm kinda scared! lol

Where should I go?

What should I see?

What should I wear?

Where are you staying? Do you gamble?

I stayed in the Mirage in August, and in two weeks I'm staying at the MGM Grand. I'm checking out Cirque de Soliel and the clubs.

There is a place on the strip where you can tickets for shows the day of for discounted prices. I dont remember the name of the place, but its in the guidebooks that they give out on the monorail.

Vegas is a blast. As far as staying on the strip, my fave hotels are:
Bellagio
Luxor
Venetian

I really wanted to stay at the Bellagio, but I settled for the MGM Grand.

I spent a weekend at the Luxor - very nice and had a great time. We toured the casinos and shopped. My sister and brother-in-law had a ball gambling and I enjoyed people watching. Just go with the flow - you'll have a ball regardless of what you do.

The location of the Grand sucks, though. I really like staying somewhere closer to the middle of the strip.

You know how there are people who give out passes to third rate clubs in Vegas? You know how you wonder what kind of people go to them?

You heard Liva Las Vegas or Viva Las Vegas?

If you want to see a Cirque show, Mystere is the most affordable. It's at Treasure Island and shouldn't be hard to get tickets for because it's been in Vegas the longest. When I saw it I bought my ticket a half hour before the show.

www.tickets2nite.com is in the Coke bottle and tickets4tonight is next to the Harley Davidson Cafe. You have to go to the location to see which tickets they have for the same evening. It's usually for second rate shows. No Cirque for sale there.

Blue Man Group is my favorite show and I totally recommend it. They're now at Venetian.

Studio 54 is always fun but there's also Tabu' and Teatro at MGM. You can take the opportunity to club hop within the same casino.

When are you going? Spring can be really windy, so be sure to bring a warm jacket. There's always the possibility of freak rain in the spring. When Vegas does rain, it pours and floods. I suggest checking www.accuweather.com for the forecast. They predict 15 days ahead and are usually pretty close. Regardless of the weather bring at least one sweater because the casinos are always cold.

Studio 54 is fun . You should go to the old strip at leat one night to see the light show (I think it is outside of the Flamingo.)

By the old strip, I think you mean downtown and no it is not outside the flamingo. The flamingo is center strip across from Caesar's Palace.
