New Sorority
NMSU is starting a new sorority. Sigma Mu Epsilon which will be know as the Sorority for Mothers Everywher. I can't find the link to the article because our newpaper is stupid but once I find it I will post it. Has any other campus had a sorority just for mothers?

Is it a sorority or a club with greek letters?
Sounds more like a support group for student with kids than a sorority.

Mu Sigma Rho
I beleive there is a sorority called Mu Sigma Rho (or something like that?) that is for marrried or previously married ladies. They had a chapter at Georgia State University in Atlanta once. It was there for along time I think.
I mean, I can see the benefit of both because let's be honest. LOTS of chapters, especially in very traditional greek systems are NOT going to even consider a woman who is married or has a baby regradless of her age, grades, leadership skills or whatever she has to offer. I am not saying either is wrong or anything, I'm just saying I can see it. If they are happy and they like it, good for them.
Sisterhood, ritual, a sense of belonging, standards to live up to, personal growth and development, academic success, social net working, career netwoking, and leadership opportunity........all sound like things moms could benefit from too. That's why women join sororities, I think.

Huh?
Aren't you the person who makes up sororities or pretends to be in sororities or makes up different screen names and pretend to be a "sister-friend" of people who are in actual sororities?
I'm kinda confused
And I think you meant "a long" and not "along".

I agree.
And making their own group will solve a lot of the inherent problems - i.e. they can bring the kiddos to meetings, can bypass mixers with fraternities, etc.
I see no reason to begrudge them this.
