Post I've been wondering.....

....about this for awhile. This is primarily for the NPHC organizations. I've noticed that some of us will post in certain organization's forums, but not others. Why is that? It doesn't appear to be indicative of Greek love or unity.

I hope that noone if offended by this question. But it seems as if there is an invisible line drawn between some of the organizations.

No responses? What a shock.

I hope all this division I'm seeing is just a figment of my imagination.

Question

I guess I'm not understanding you thoughts. Are you talking about personal message boards for other sororities? Are you talking about threds that concern BGLOs?

If I'm not mistaken, she is talking about the BGLO sorority specific forums.

Midwest Diva, I don't know if you are imagining it or not. I rarely post in the other BGL sororities forums. The only time I post in it's because I saw a topic in the 'today's active topics list' list that I thought was interesting. I don't just generally read everything on the other forums boards and post up a storm. It's not because I don't like those organizations or anything like that.

Also, anyone is welcome to post on the Zeta Phi Beta board, whether they be Sisterfriend, Sister-Soror, brother, etc!

from time to time, we all visit one another's forum. but, we have our own forums and choose to converse with our own sorors. by and large, there has been a spirit of unity on this forum as opposed to other sites where folks are going off on one another on a daily basis. only, when someone attempt to whip ish and start a mess do things get out of hand.

I generally read other BGLO's forums(fraternities and sororities), however, most of the time I choose not to post.

As Soror DSTBrat indicated, we choose to mostly converse with our own org or our perceived 'brother' org. I don't think that our not cross-posting is a sign of disunity but a sign of respect for each other's space. Many times discussions are geared toward members or prospectives of that org.
On occaision, we will cross-post on topics of general discussion, but oftentimes, we will open the thread in our own forum instead.

We can show Greek unity in other ways...and do! Posting in each other's forum is not unity; backing each other up in the general forums is!

I hope that answers your question. If not, please feel free to elaborate.

Thank you for the responses. I think Mccoyred most adequately answered my questions. However, I was mostly referring to those who post in their sorority's forum, and maybe another sorority's forum, but not the other two.

It has been my experience that most of the threads have nothing to do with "greekdom" if you will. So therefore I post wherever an interesting conversation is taking place. If a person wants to start isht, that can easily be done in this forum, and has on many occasions.

I do understand wanting to respect other organizations' space. But it almost gives the impression that some only want to interact with "their own" or "certain others". If you say that you do show love to other organizations then that's good enough for me.

Most of the times I just don't stay on the PC long enough to check other's posts. Some sorors ask me why I hardly post in "our" post. I am kind of Lazy too. In my case it has nothing to do with not wanting to show love. I believe in supporting fellow greeks.

SORRY!!!!
Good point though- Got me thinking
